Programs include the annual City Spotlights (a multi-month program that culminates with an event in May at the Shubert Theatre), Celebrate Shakespeare Day and the Education Department's Suskind Endowment. Department and non-profit organizations throughout the city. Through these
partnerships, the company leverages it's resources to create volunteer community
outreach programs and provide corporate giving to the community.
Verizon Wireless has been a sponsor of The Citi Center for the Performing
Arts since 2004. A recognized corporate leader in the fight against
domestic violence, Verizon Wireless works to combat domestic violence
and raise awareness of the issue through the company's HopeLine program.
The HopeLine program benefits victims of domestic violence and non-profit
advocacy agencies, providing essential communication tools of wireless
phones and wireless services, and financial grants. Patrons can drop
off used wireless phones at any performance at The Wang or Shubert Theatres.
