One Night Only - ONE PERFORMANCE - 7:30 PM

Hot on the heels of the smash hit MTV show, Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew LIVE is hitting the streets for its first ever 20-city national tour this fall, sponsored by Glacéau vitaminenergy™ and promoted by AEG Live.  The tour will feature five of the hottest dance crews from the show’s first two seasons as they battle it out, live on stage each night. The electrifying tour will feature the return of America’s Best Dance Crew Season 1 winners, the incredible masked men of JabbaWockeeZ.  They’ll be joined by the amazing b-boys on wheels, BrakeSk8, an equally exciting crew full of surprises.  With three open spots remaining, competition will go into overdrive as crews previously featured on the show battle it out to earn a coveted spot on the tour. In addition, America’s Best Dance Crew and MTV are challenging crews in each tour city to bring their best game to a local competition   they’ll be hosting in each tour city.

Boston Ballet inaugurates its fall season on Friday, October 10 with its third annual Night of Stars: A Boston Ballet Gala Benefit Performance. Like last year's performance, staged by Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen, this one-night-only event will feature the entire company and showcase all Boston Ballet principal dancers in a special program.

The work of Jiri Kylian, one of Europe's most fascinating and celebrated choreographers, returns to Boston Ballet with his Black and White program. Playing with space, shape and contrast, Kylian's work will challenge, enlighten and move you. Boston Ballet is the first company outside of Nederlands Dans Theater to perform Kylian's Black and White series.

George Balanchine's Jewels is a full lenght ballet in three parts. Presenting a miniature history of classical dance, Jewels references ballet's French origins, Russia's imperial style and Balanchine's own take on the art form. Jewels premiered at New York City Ballet in 1967.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Ballets Russes, established in 1909 by the Russian impresario Serge Diaghilev. The Ballets Russes became one of the most influential ballet companies of the 20th century, presenting ground-breaking artistic collaborations among choreographers, composers and artists.
