City Spotlights is an education and cultural program for youth exploring and celebrating four Boston neighborhoods through the performing arts (Beacon Hill and Back Bay, Fenway, the North End and Mission Hill/Roxbury). The program consists of high school internships, community performance workshops, intergenerational neighborhood ensembles, and culminates in a community event featuring local artists at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre on May 15, 2010.  Past performances highlighted themes important to our City’s teens: heroes, cultural identity, violence and education.  Participants also talked about their dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future.  The identities of Boston neighborhoods are portrayed through original dance, spoken word, theatre, song and multimedia, creating a story honoring the uniqueness and richness of Boston.

How to get tickets for City Spotlights: Thanks to the support of the Atlantic Charter Insurance Company, Citi Performing Arts Center is able to offer complimentary tickets. Call 617-532-1265 to reserve tickets.
