Save the Date: Annual Gala at Citi Performing Arts Center

posted on: October 23, 2009

Citi Performing Arts Center will bring the islands to the Wang Theatre
with a Gala event to support its community and education programs.

Boston, MA (October 13, 2009) – On Tuesday, November 24, the Citi Performing Art Center’s Annual Gala will transport guests to an island oasis inside the Wang Theatre where guests can expect tropical drinks, sandy toes, and steel drums.  The Gala is an annual event that raises money to fund the education and community programs at Citi Performing Arts Center, a non-profit performing arts institution.

The Wang Theater’s Grand and Lower lobbies will be transformed into an island getaway for guests to escape the November chill.   Guests will enjoy a Caribbean feast where the sky meets the sea, complete with a coral reef lounge, calypso dancers, and a live auction of paradise packages.

Leading the Gala preparations are Gala Chairs, Laurene and Scott Sperling of Wayland, and Auction Chairs, Mary Cashman and Rich Doucette of Swampscott. Committee members include Sarah and Derek Christensen of the South End, Andra and Marijn Dekkers of Needham, Julie Donahue of Andover, Esta Gordon Epstein and Robert Epstein of Boston, Roger Hobby of Medfield, Mary and Richard Humber of Woburn, Lynne Kortenhaus of Charlestown, Kay and Gerard Martin of Rye Beach, New Hampshire, Christina and Jeff McCormick of Boston, Beth Nichols and George Lee of Wellesley Hills, Martha and Charley Polachi of Sherborn, Nathan E. Pusey of Beverly, Audrey Epstein Reny and Steven Reny of Boston, Holly Safford of Duxbury, and Joyce and Josiah Spaulding of Charlestown.

Gala seats are available for purchase. Please call 617-532-1220 or email rsvp@citicenter.org for ticket information, and click here to participate in the online auction.
