Citi Performing Arts Center has been selected by Arts|Learning to receive the 2010 Arts|Learning Outstanding Arts Collaborative Award in the field of Performing Arts. As the Massachusetts representative of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, Arts|Learning recognizes Citi Performing Arts Center as a leader in providing, supporting, and advocating for quality arts education in Massachusetts, through the 2009 SpectrumBoston program. Citi Performing Arts Center will be honored at the 24th Annual Champions of the Arts Award Ceremony at the State House on May 26th.

Boston Public Schools received a grant from the Target Corporation to fund an artist residency and ticket access program with Citi Performing Arts Center. The goal of the program is to improve school success, engage families and strengthen community by providing access to Boston’s rich offerings of music, dance, visual arts, theater and cultural events. The BPS Arts Department in partnership with Citi Performing Arts Center will give nearly 1,000 students in selected schools greater exposure to Boston's theater district.
