Youth ages 14-19 are encouraged to apply for a 5 week program to build leadership and performance skills
BOSTON (April 24, 2012) – Citi Performing Arts Center seeks youth ages 14-19, for its summer City Spotlights Leadership Program. Participants develop leadership, professional, and performance skills through a 5-week exploration of hip hop. The program takes place at Citi Performing Arts Center, July 9 through August 10. Participants receive a stipend for their work. The program culminates in a youth-created performance tour throughout Boston.
Applicants may schedule an interview by contacting Rachel Rhoades at email@example.com or 617-532-1221. Interviews will take place weekdays beginning April 18th. Previous performing arts experience is not necessary. Applicants are asked to memorize and present a 2-minute monologue from a scripted play or published poem, sing 16 bars of a song, and bring a resume if possible.

ABOUT The City Spotlights Leadership Program is part of Citi Performing Arts Center’s education programming. Programs enable every youth to explore his/her own creativity, through instruction and mentorship by professional teaching artists and peer leader trainers from the community.
