When do you offer programs? We offer a full-year selection of programs. Each year, we present a full slate of school-year and summer programs that are created to offer a wide range of schedule options. Click here to see our Complete Calendar of Classes, Workshops, and Education Programs. What ages are eligible for your programs? Our programs are designed to appeal to a wide range of ages. We create programming for young people, adults, schools, teaching artists, and strive to create intergenerational opportunities for families and communities. Our programs are open to anyone with an interest in the performing arts. Participants must be in the grade level or age group indicated for each program regardless of previous experience. How do I sign up for a program? To register for programs, follow the instructions give in each specific program description or contact us by e-mail for more information. What are the criteria for participating in a program? Most of our programs do not require any previous performing arts experience, just an interest in learning more about the performing arts. For multi-session programs, students must be able to attend all sessions and will be accepted based on availability and by the thoughtfulness of their interview or audition (if applicable). Incomplete or late registrations will not be accepted. How much does it cost to participate? Thanks to the generosity of our funders, all of our programs are FREE to participants. Our Professional Development programs require a registration deposit that will be returned to participants on the day of the program. Where do the programs take place? Unless otherwise indicated, all of our programs take place at Citi Performing Arts CenterSM, located at 270 Tremont Street in Boston. We are accessible via public transportation, and there is limited metered, on-street parking in the area, as well as several pay lots. We do not offer parking validation. Directions will be sent with registration confirmation. How many participants are in each program? We limit the number of participants to 15-30 people depending on the program. Once a program is fully enrolled, a waiting list will be started to accommodate any cancellations. Who teaches the programs? Teaching Artists with expertise in their art form and teaching experience lead all of our programs. Many of our Teaching Artists work in the Boston area as professional actors, musicians, performers and college professors. How do I find out if I'm in a program? Near the applicable registration deadline, we review and process all registration forms. Once accepted in a program, participants receive a confirmation letter in the mail with more details and reminders about the program. If the program is already fully enrolled, participants will be notified and added to the waiting list. What if I need special accommodations? Please call 617-532-1221 with any special accommodations. We welcome individuals with disabilities for all our programs and ask for a minimum of two weeks' notice for special accommodations or materials. Every effort will be made to accommodate participant's individual needs. |
