Sheryl Chen

Education and Outreach Programs Manager

Sheryl is part of Citi Performing Arts Center's Education team working with youth and children. She can be found leading tours and art-making activities at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). In addition, she helps with grant writing for the Josiah Quincy Elementary School Orchestra Program, based on the Venezuelan El Sistema music education program. Sheryl works with the ArtsFirst Performance Festival at Harvard University in the spring, is a mentor for a high school senior at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center’s (BCNC) College Access Program, and volunteers regularly at the MIT List Visual Arts Center and other local arts organizations. She has previously worked as a Community Arts Initiative Liaison at the MFA for BCNC, worked with Brookline Adult and Community Education, and taught English in primary schools in Toulouse, France.

Sheryl received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) in Art History and American Studies and completed her Master of Education in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
